the art is very cute. even better if the UI are on the same style and the bar at right side have some sorting order issue (doesn't matter for this jam tho)
In my opinion the bar shouldn't be located at right-side of the screen it make player must do a choice between looking at their own character or the checking the bar
that is a good point, i was trying to make it so the bar was always above the player's head but that was a bit complicated on a short time frame since i came up with it on the last day of the jam

Can it be that thare are invisible obstacles? Sometimes the snake just disappears to the left without running into anything.
Apart from that, I just love your game!
this is a known bug, it’s to do with the collision of the walls, sorry about that
